Born in Oxford in 1948, Colin trained in Liverpool as a teacher, returning to Oxfordshire to teach Design and Technology at a secondary school. He met Sue, a fellow teacher, and they married in 1975. They have three children and nine grandchildren.
Colin met Bishop Enoch when the latter was studying in Oxford in 1983. He and Sue were inspired by the vision Enoch shared and have supported AICM ever since.
Enoch wanted Colin to go back to Uganda with him to be the co-ordinator of the newly formed AICM, as Enoch was still a full time pastor in the Church of Uganda. Circumstances prevented this career
move, but Colin finally managed to visit the work in 2003. He has made many trips since.
Colin is a member of St. Ebbe’s Church in Oxford. Every year he and Sue take some Oxford students, based at St. Ebbe’s, to Kabale to teach children and young adults and to learn how the good news of Jesus is relevant and essential in every culture.
